CHROME YELLOW WITH FLAMEs

This customer's last bike was hit by someone who "just didn't see him" so he wanted his next bike to stand out. He knew he wanted chrome yellow as the base color, and for the flames he brought in a magazine photo of the style of flame he was after.

So after the stretched metal arrived, the bodywork began. Nine and a half hours later it was time to spray the primer-surfacer. Meanwhile, the frame, swing arm, and other small parts were stripped of color and powder coated chrome yellow. Then after matching the chrome yellow, the tank, fenders, struts, air cleaner, and scoop were sprayed and cleared. Flames were laid out, airbrushed, followed by clear, wet sanded, and pinstriped. Then the tank, fenders, and air cleaner was given more clear for protection.
